Yes. Because this stem routes cables internally through the headset and frame, your bicycle must be specifically designed to accommodate the ACR system. It will not work with standard frames that route cables externally or through traditional ports.

The stem is compatible with standard 31.8mm handlebar clamp diameters. However, to take full advantage of the internal cable routing, you will likely need handlebars that are also designed to work with the ACR system to allow the cables to pass through the bar and into the stem.

The AL6061-T6 aluminum construction provides a high degree of stiffness, which is excellent for power transfer during sprints or climbing. While it is not as compliant as carbon fiber, it offers a reliable, sturdy feel that is well-suited for both road and gravel riding.

The 6-degree angle is a standard geometry that allows you to flip the stem to either raise or lower your handlebar height. This gives you some flexibility to fine-tune your cockpit position for either a more aggressive, aerodynamic stance or a slightly more upright, comfortable posture.

Internal routing systems are generally more complex to service than external setups because they require disconnecting cables to access the headset or swap the stem. While it creates a cleaner look and reduces drag, you should be prepared for a more involved process when performing routine maintenance.
