Cadex Aero Tubeless Road Tire

While the Cadex Aero is a tubeless-ready tire, it is designed to be used as a tubeless setup for optimal performance. You can technically run it with an inner tube, but you will lose the puncture protection benefits and the low-pressure ride quality that the tubeless casing is engineered to provide.

The taller sidewall is designed to create an oval shape that blends more smoothly with modern, wider rim profiles. This improves aerodynamic efficiency by reducing turbulence at the tire-rim interface, which helps the bike feel more stable and faster in crosswinds.

It features Race Shield Kevlar protection located directly under the tread. This provides a solid layer of defense against road debris and glass without adding the excessive weight or stiffness often found in heavier, commuter-focused tires.

The 25mm width is optimized for speed and aerodynamics on smooth to moderately textured pavement. If you frequently ride on very rough chip-seal or gravel, you might find a wider tire provides more comfort and vibration damping.

The RR-A compound is primarily engineered to minimize rolling resistance and maximize speed on dry tarmac. While it offers reliable grip for cornering, it is a race-focused compound, so you should exercise extra caution when cornering on wet or slick surfaces.
