The tire uses a dual-density approach: the T5 compound is firmer and placed in the center to improve rolling efficiency and durability, while the softer T7 compound on the shoulder knobs provides extra grip when you lean into corners.

While it is optimized as a Tubeless Ready tire, you can absolutely run it with an inner tube if you prefer. However, setting it up tubeless is recommended to take full advantage of the lower pressure capabilities and reduced risk of pinch flats.

The Grid Lite casing is reinforced to provide better abrasion and pinch flat resistance, which makes it slightly more robust for aggressive riding. The Flex Lite casing prioritizes a more supple, lightweight feel, making it better suited for riders who prioritize speed and trail feedback over heavy-duty protection.
