Velo VLG-100 Hex MTB Grips

These grips are designed for standard mountain bike handlebars with a 22.2mm diameter. They will fit most standard MTB bars, but they are not compatible with oversized bars or drop-bar road bike setups.

Since these are slip-on grips, they rely on friction for a secure fit. We recommend using a small amount of compressed air or a light application of isopropyl alcohol to slide them onto the bar; the alcohol will evaporate quickly, leaving the grips firmly in place.

The hex pattern is designed to provide traction rather than discomfort. While it offers a distinct, tactile feel that helps with control on technical trails, it is not abrasive and should feel secure without causing excessive palm fatigue.

The Velo VLG-100 grips are a simple, lightweight slip-on design and do not include separate bar end plugs. You may want to retain your existing bar ends if you prefer to have them covered.

These are traditional slip-on grips, which are generally lighter and offer a more minimalist profile than heavier lock-on systems. While they lack the mechanical bolt-on security of lock-on grips, they provide a clean, streamlined feel for riders who prefer a direct connection to the bar.
