Fox 32 Step-Cast Suspension Fork

This fork is specifically engineered for cross-country racing and dedicated trail riding. Its lightweight skeletonized design and 100mm of travel prioritize efficiency and steering precision over heavy-duty downhill capability.

The Fox 32 Step-Cast uses a 1.5-inch tapered steerer tube, which is the standard for most modern mountain bikes. You will also need to ensure your front wheel hub uses 15x110mm Boost spacing to be compatible.

The GRIP damper allows you to toggle between Open, Medium, and Firm settings while riding. This lets you quickly stiffen the fork for efficient climbing on smooth fire roads or open it up for maximum traction on technical, bumpy descents.

This fork is designed to accommodate tires up to 2.3 inches wide. While it offers excellent clearance for standard cross-country tires, it is not intended for the wider, high-volume tires found on plus-size mountain bikes.

The FLOAT EVOL system is designed to be user-friendly, but you will need a high-pressure shock pump to set the air pressure according to your body weight. Once set, the system automatically balances the positive and negative air chambers to provide consistent small-bump sensitivity.

The Step-Cast design features a unique, narrow lower leg shape that shaves significant weight without sacrificing torsional stiffness. This reduction in unsprung mass makes the front end feel more responsive and easier to flick through tight corners.
