Peaty's Monarch Grip Lockrings

These lockrings are designed to fit standard lock-on style grips that utilize a single or dual clamp system. However, they are specifically engineered for Peaty's Monarch grips, so compatibility with other brands may vary depending on the specific clamp diameter and bolt pattern.

You will need a 3mm hex key (Allen wrench) to tighten the pre-installed stainless steel bolts. We recommend using a torque wrench to ensure you hit the 3Nm specification without over-tightening.

Aluminum lockrings, specifically the 6061 alloy used here, offer significantly higher durability and clamping force than plastic alternatives. They are less prone to stripping threads and provide a more secure, slip-free connection to your handlebars during aggressive riding.

It is good practice to apply a very light coating of grease or anti-seize compound to the threads of the stainless steel bolts before installation. This prevents the metal from seizing over time and ensures you can easily remove or adjust your grips later.

While the anodized finish is highly durable and resistant to corrosion and wear, it can eventually fade if exposed to intense, prolonged UV sunlight or harsh chemical cleaners. Regular cleaning with mild soap and water will help maintain the color vibrancy.
