Microshift Sword G-Series Cassette

This cassette is compatible with standard Shimano HG 8-10 speed freehub bodies. As long as your current wheelset uses this common hub standard, it will install without any modifications.

You will need a rear derailleur capable of handling a 38-tooth large cog. Ensure your derailleur has the appropriate cage length and capacity to accommodate this wide-range gearing before installing.

The aluminum spider and large cog are used to keep weight down while maintaining structural integrity. While aluminum is softer than steel, the high-stress cogs are designed to handle the torque of gravel riding, though you may see slightly faster wear on the largest cog compared to a full-steel cassette.

The Sword G-Series is specifically engineered for gravel riding. It bridges the gap between road and mountain gearing, offering the wide range necessary for steep, unpredictable terrain without the excessive weight of a dedicated mountain bike cassette.

The satin nickel finish is primarily designed for cosmetic resilience, helping the cassette resist corrosion and maintain a clean look even after exposure to dirt, mud, and moisture common in gravel riding.
