Gardenheir Watering Globe

The globe works on a vacuum principle. As the soil dries out, it releases oxygen into the globe, which displaces the water and allows it to flow into the soil. Once the soil is sufficiently moist, the flow stops automatically.

The Gardenheir globe features a wider, elongated stem specifically engineered to resist clogging. However, if you are using a very dense or sandy potting mix, we recommend placing a small piece of mesh or a coffee filter over the opening before inserting it into the soil.

It is suitable for both. While the minimalist design looks beautiful indoors, the hand-blown glass is durable enough for outdoor containers, provided they are in a sheltered spot away from high winds or heavy foot traffic.

Because the globe is made of clear, hand-blown glass, you can easily monitor the water level at a glance. Depending on your plant's specific needs and the ambient temperature, you will typically need to refill it every 7 to 14 days.

To protect your plant's root system, we recommend pre-watering your soil first. Use a pencil or a chopstick to create a pilot hole in the soil at a slight angle, then gently insert the stem of the globe into that opening.
