The 46-bottle count is based on standard Bordeaux-size bottles. If you frequently store larger formats like Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, or Champagne, you will likely need to remove or adjust a shelf, which will reduce the total bottle capacity.

KitchenAid's black stainless finish is designed to be more resistant to smudges and fingerprints than standard stainless steel. However, like any high-end finish, it will still require occasional wiping with a soft, damp cloth to maintain its clean look.
