These pads are engineered as direct replacements for a wide range of popular Shimano braking systems. However, because Shimano has many different caliper designs, we recommend checking your current brake model number against the compatibility list on the packaging or your brake caliper before purchasing.

The semi-metallic compound strikes a balance between the longevity of metallic pads and the quiet, predictable bite of organic pads. It provides consistent friction and reliable stopping power across the varied trail conditions typical of cross-country riding.

The aluminum backing plates are significantly lighter than standard steel plates. By reducing this rotational mass, you save a small amount of weight on your bike without sacrificing the structural integrity needed for effective braking.

This kit includes one complete bicycle set, which provides the necessary pads for one brake caliper (front or rear). If you are replacing pads on both wheels, you will need to purchase two sets.

While these pads are excellent for cross-country riding and general trail use, they are specifically optimized for that category. If you frequently ride steep, sustained downhill sections that generate extreme heat, you might prefer a dedicated metallic or finned pad designed for high-heat dissipation.
