Not at all. The pan features a premium nonstick coating specifically designed to handle complex shapes. To ensure a perfect release, we recommend brushing the interior with a thin layer of melted butter or shortening and dusting it with flour before adding your batter.

This pan has a 6-cup capacity. A standard box of cake mix typically yields about 5 to 6 cups of batter, so it should fit perfectly without overflowing.

While the pan is durable, we strongly recommend hand washing it with warm, soapy water. Dishwashers can degrade the nonstick coating over time and may cause the aluminum to discolor.

Cast aluminum is excellent at conducting heat, so your cake may bake slightly faster than it would in a thin steel pan. Start checking for doneness about 5 minutes before the recipe's suggested time to ensure you don't overbake the edges.

Avoid using metal utensils, as they can scratch and damage the nonstick surface. We suggest using a silicone spatula or a wooden pick to gently loosen the edges before inverting the pan.
