Fiskars Power-Lever Grass Shears

The Power-Lever technology uses a compound leverage design to multiply the force you apply to the handles. This makes the cutting action significantly easier, reducing hand fatigue during long sessions of trimming around flower beds or fences.

These shears are specifically designed for grass and soft, green stems. They are not intended for woody branches or thick, fibrous weeds, which could damage the blade alignment or dull the edges prematurely.

The serrated edge is designed to grip grass stems firmly as you close the blades. This prevents the grass from sliding out from between the blades, ensuring a clean, precise cut on the first try.

Like any manual cutting tool, the blades will eventually lose their edge with heavy use. You can maintain their performance by occasionally honing them with a sharpening stone, though the serrated design makes them slightly more complex to sharpen than standard bypass shears.

While they are excellent for grass, they are not ideal for shaping shrubs or topiary. For those tasks, you are better off using dedicated hedge shears, which have longer blades designed to create the straight, even lines required for shaping plants.
