Merritt P1 Pedals

These pedals feature a standard 9/16-inch spindle thread, which is the industry standard for almost all three-piece BMX cranksets. They will not fit one-piece cranks, which require a 1/2-inch pedal spindle.

Aluminum pedals like the Merritt P1 offer a stiffer, more direct feel underfoot, which many riders prefer for power transfer and stability. While they are heavier and more rigid than nylon options, they are significantly more resistant to cracking during heavy impacts.

These are designed for the rigors of BMX, making them equally capable for street, park, or dirt riding. The aluminum body is built to handle the repeated abuse of grinds and drops common in street sessions.

The platform design is optimized for a secure connection, but grip levels depend heavily on your footwear. While the aluminum body provides a stable base, ensure you are wearing flat-soled shoes with a rubber compound designed for cycling to get the most traction.

The Merritt P1 pedals feature a molded or integrated pin design rather than replaceable steel pins. While this keeps the profile slim and reduces the risk of pins snapping off, it means you should be mindful of wear over time.
