Rebel Minnow

This lure is designed specifically for shallow, calm environments like streams, ponds, and smaller rivers. Because it is a shallow-running bait with a depth range of 0 to 3 feet, it performs best in clear or stained water where you need to target fish near the surface or over submerged vegetation.

For panfish like bluegill or crappie, the 1.625-inch model is the ideal choice. If you are targeting larger predators like bass or trout, the 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch versions provide a more substantial profile that better matches the baitfish those species are actively hunting.

The Rebel Minnow is a floating lure. This allows you to pause your retrieve and let the lure sit on the surface, which can often trigger a strike from fish that are hesitant to commit to a moving target.

It comes equipped with quality treble hooks and stainless steel hardware. This setup is built to handle the wear and tear of repeated casting and fighting fish, though like any hook, you should rinse them with fresh water after use in saltwater environments to prevent corrosion.

While primarily designed for casting in streams and ponds, you can certainly troll it at very slow speeds. Just keep in mind that its shallow-running design means it will stay near the surface, so it works best for trolling in very shallow water or over weed beds.
