The Type-G configuration is a decocker-only system, meaning the lever safely drops the hammer without engaging a manual safety. This allows you to carry the firearm in a double-action state, ready to fire with a deliberate trigger pull, without needing to disengage a safety lever first.

The bobbed hammer is designed specifically to prevent snagging on clothing during a draw, which makes it slightly harder to cock manually than a traditional spur hammer. However, because this is a DA/SA firearm, you typically rely on the double-action pull for the first shot, so manual cocking is rarely necessary in a defensive context.

The D hammer spring is a lighter-weight spring that reduces the tension on the trigger mechanism. This results in a smoother, lighter pull in both double-action and single-action modes, making it easier to maintain accuracy during rapid fire.

The PX4 Compact Carry features a grip profile that balances capacity with ergonomics, but the double-action trigger reach can be long for those with smaller hands. It is advisable to handle the grip in person to ensure you can comfortably reach the trigger in the double-action position.

The Talon Grip provides excellent traction for a secure hold, but the aggressive texture can be abrasive if carried directly against the skin. If you plan to carry it inside the waistband, wearing an undershirt or using a holster with a full sweat guard is recommended to prevent irritation.
