The decoy simulates natural preening behavior, which generates gentle ripples on the water's surface. These ripples travel outward and cause your other floating decoys to drift and bob, creating a more dynamic and realistic look without needing a breeze.

While it is designed specifically to solve the problem of calm, stagnant water, it will still function in windy conditions. However, you will likely find it most valuable on still days when natural wind isn't providing enough movement to keep your spread looking alive.

You will get up to 10 hours of continuous runtime on a fresh set of four AA batteries. For most standard hunting sessions, this is more than enough to keep the motion going from dawn until you pack up.

The foam-filled design is primarily for durability and to ensure the decoy remains buoyant and reliable in the water. While it adds a bit of weight compared to hollow plastic decoys, it is still manageable for standard walk-in hunts.

The Power Shaker is specifically designed to mimic the appearance and behavior of a Black Duck. While the motion itself is universal, using it alongside other species may look slightly out of place unless you are hunting in an area where Black Ducks are commonly present.
