After each use, rinse the stainless steel surface thoroughly with water to remove skin debris. Since the handle is made of natural bamboo, wipe it dry with a towel rather than letting it soak in water to ensure the wood remains in good condition over time.

For most people, using the file once or twice a week is sufficient to keep calluses at bay. Over-exfoliating can cause your skin to react by producing thicker calluses, so start slowly and adjust based on how your skin responds.
