However, its size and stiffness are specifically optimized for handling more power, so it may feel bulky if you are a smaller rider looking for a nimble, high-performance board.

The triple-stringer configuration significantly increases the board's stiffness and structural integrity. This prevents the board from flexing too much under heavier loads, ensuring it maintains its shape and speed when you are carving through larger or more powerful waves.

The 55/45 rail setup provides a balanced blend of speed and control. The double rail design specifically enhances your grip on the wave face, allowing for more precise turns and better hold in steeper sections compared to a standard single rail.

Nose bulbs are ergonomic additions on the underside of the nose that provide a secure grip for your hands. They are particularly helpful for maintaining control during take-offs and when you need to hold on tightly in choppy conditions.

The Science Thunder features a polypropylene (PP) core, which is generally more durable and retains its stiffness better in warmer water. If you frequently surf in very cold water, keep in mind that the core may feel significantly stiffer, and you might prefer a board with a more flexible core material like PE (polyethylene).
