Yes, this specific extender is designed to work with inner tubes that have removable Presta valve cores. You will need to unscrew your existing core, thread the extender onto the tube, and then screw the core back into the top of the extender.

You should choose an extender length that leaves at least 15mm to 20mm of the valve protruding above your rim. Measure the depth of your rim and add roughly 20mm to that number to find the minimum extender length required for easy pump attachment.

Because the valve core is moved to the tip of the extender, you can still open and close the valve just as you would with a standard tube. It functions exactly like a longer valve stem, allowing for normal inflation and deflation.

When installed correctly, these extenders create a secure, airtight seal. We recommend using a small amount of plumber's tape on the threads if you find the connection isn't perfectly airtight, though the machined alloy construction is designed for a precise fit.

These are only compatible with inner tubes that feature removable valve cores. If your tube has a fixed, non-removable core, this extender will not work.
