The Peak is designed primarily for speed and efficiency, making it best suited for hard-packed trails and mixed terrain where rolling resistance matters most. While the multi-dimensional compound offers reliable grip, its closely-spaced tread pattern is optimized for maintaining momentum rather than digging into deep, loose mud.

While the tire is optimized for tubeless use to reduce weight and improve puncture resistance, it is compatible with inner tubes. However, running it tubeless is recommended to fully experience the supple ride quality and lower rolling resistance the casing is designed to provide.

The 120 TPI (threads per inch) casing is quite supple, which allows the tire to deform more easily over trail obstacles. This results in a smoother, more comfortable ride and better traction, as the tire can conform to the terrain rather than bouncing off it.

The Peak excels on fast, flowy trails, but it can handle technical sections thanks to its reliable rubber compound. If your riding involves extremely sharp, jagged rocks, you might want to consider a tire with a more robust sidewall protection, as the Peak prioritizes weight savings and speed.

The Dynamic:A/T compound is engineered to balance grip and durability. It provides the necessary tackiness for confident braking and cornering on varied surfaces without wearing down prematurely, ensuring the tire remains efficient over many miles.
