DGK Deck

An 8.5-inch deck is a great starting point for many skaters. It provides a wider, more stable platform that makes learning to balance and land tricks slightly more forgiving than narrower boards, though it may feel a bit heavier for technical flip tricks.

This deck is versatile enough for most styles. The 8.5-inch width offers enough surface area for stability in transition and bowl skating, while still being responsive enough for street skating and ledge work.

Canadian Maple is the industry standard for skateboard decks because it offers the best balance of strength and flexibility. It provides the 'pop' required for ollies and high-impact tricks while maintaining structural integrity over time.

If your trucks are sized for an 8.5-inch deck, they will fit perfectly. As a general rule, you want your truck axle width to match the width of your deck as closely as possible to maintain proper leverage and control.

Like any skateboard deck, the graphic will begin to wear away as you perform tricks like boardslides or nose slides. The graphic is applied to the bottom ply, so it is designed to withstand normal wear, but it is ultimately a functional part of the board that will show use over time.
