Kryptonite Keeper Shackle

The Keeper Shackle is designed for moderate-risk environments. While it offers solid everyday security with its hardened steel construction, you might want a higher-security rating lock if you frequently leave your bike unattended for long periods in high-theft urban zones.

The snap-in bracket is designed for standard bicycle frame tubing. However, if you have an unusually shaped frame or an e-bike with a thick battery housing, you may need to find an alternative mounting location or carry the lock in a bag.

At 2.25 lbs, it is relatively lightweight for a U-lock, making it manageable for daily commuting. The included frame mount helps distribute that weight so it doesn't feel cumbersome while you ride.

The lock comes with two stainless steel keys. We recommend registering your key code with Kryptonite immediately after purchase, which allows you to order replacements if you lose both originals.

Not at all. The anti-rotation design is a security feature that prevents the shackle from twisting if it's attacked, but it doesn't change the locking process. It operates just like a standard U-lock.
