The D2 edge flex is designed to allow the sides of the saddle to move slightly with your legs as you pedal. This helps create a smoother, less restrictive pedaling motion, especially when you are climbing or maneuvering through technical terrain.

The Kevlar sides are included to protect the saddle from abrasion and tears if you lay your bike down or crash. It adds a significant layer of durability in high-wear areas without compromising the overall feel of the seat.

It sits right in the middle. It provides enough cushion to absorb trail chatter and impacts, but it is firm enough to offer a stable platform for efficient power transfer while pedaling.
