The E-Lever is designed specifically for 22.2mm diameter handlebars, which is the standard size for flat bars, riser bars, and many city bike setups. It will not fit on standard drop-bar road handlebars, which typically have a 23.8mm diameter at the clamping area.

Yes, the E-Lever is a short-pull lever, making it compatible with most road-style mechanical disc brakes, side-pull rim brakes, and cantilever brakes. It is not compatible with long-pull brakes like linear-pull or V-brakes.

Because the lever is shorter, you have less leverage compared to a standard two- or four-finger lever. It is best suited for riders who prefer a snappy, responsive feel and are comfortable with a more direct, minimalist braking experience.

The fixed clamp requires you to slide the lever onto the end of your handlebar, meaning you will need to remove your grips or bar tape to install it. While this takes a moment longer than a hinged clamp, it creates a cleaner, more secure, and lower-profile look on your cockpit.

While it is built to PAUL Components' high standards of durability, the one-finger design is primarily intended for city, fixed-gear, or single-speed builds. For technical trail riding where you need maximum modulation and braking power, a longer, multi-finger lever is generally the safer and more effective choice.
