The TP5x is engineered specifically for higher ball speed and a slightly firmer feel, which generally results in a flatter, more penetrating ball flight compared to the softer, higher-spinning TP5.

While the TP5x is designed to reduce spin off the tee for maximum distance, it still provides ample spin around the greens. You will find it offers the control necessary for finesse shots, though it may feel slightly different than a high-spin ball if you are used to a very soft cover.

This feature uses a continuous visual line around the ball to help you set up square to your target line. It provides immediate feedback on your stroke, as you will see the line roll end-over-end if you hit a pure putt.

The TP5x is optimized for players who generate higher swing speeds and want to maximize distance. If your swing speed is on the slower side, you might find a softer ball provides better compression and distance performance.

The Microcoating is primarily designed to improve aerodynamics and consistency in flight. While it helps maintain performance, it is not a specialized scuff-resistant cover, so you should expect normal wear and tear similar to other tour-level urethane balls.
