Assos Mug Guard

The Mug Guard features a universal attachment system designed to secure to the rails of most standard road, gravel, and mountain bike saddles. It is highly compatible, but it may not fit saddles with unique or non-standard rail geometries.

No tools are required. The design uses a tool-free mounting system that allows you to quickly snap it onto your saddle rails before a wet ride and remove it just as easily when the weather clears.

The Mug Guard is constructed from lightweight, recycled materials, making it negligible in terms of added weight. It is designed to provide essential protection without compromising the performance or feel of your bike.

It is designed as a minimalist rear-mounted barrier to block the primary spray and mud kicked up by your rear tire. While it significantly reduces grime on your gear and clothing, it is a compact solution and does not offer the full-length coverage of a traditional, frame-mounted fender.

You certainly can, but because it is so easy to attach and remove, many riders prefer to keep it off during dry weather. Its quick-release design makes it simple to stow in a jersey pocket or bag until you actually need it.
