While it is built for aggressive gravity riding, the Megatower is surprisingly capable on climbs. The steep seat tube angle puts you in an efficient pedaling position, and the VPP suspension platform is designed to resist bobbing, making it a solid choice for backcountry epics where you have to earn your turns.

The Glovebox is an integrated compartment inside the downtube that allows you to store tools, a tube, or snacks directly in the frame. It features a secure, weather-resistant latch system that keeps your gear rattle-free and protected from the elements while you ride.

Santa Cruz adjusts the chainstay length and seat tube angle for each frame size. This ensures that a rider on a small frame gets the same balanced handling and weight distribution as a rider on an extra-large frame, preventing the bike from feeling too long or too short for your specific height.

The wireless AXS drivetrain is generally lower maintenance than a traditional cable-actuated system because there are no cables to stretch or housing to clog. You simply need to keep the derailleur battery charged and ensure the firmware is updated via the SRAM app.

The Megatower is a high-performance machine that might be overkill for a casual trail rider, but it is an excellent platform for someone serious about enduro. Its forgiving 170mm/165mm travel and stable geometry provide a safety net for learning high-speed lines, though it does demand an active riding style to get the most out of it.

The Megatower frame is designed to accommodate a mullet setup (27.5-inch rear wheel) if you prefer more clearance or a snappier feel in the rear. You will need to adjust the flip-chip on the suspension linkage to maintain the correct geometry and bottom bracket height.
