Continental Race Light Tube

The Race Light is constructed with thinner walls to reduce rotational weight, which helps with acceleration and overall speed. Because of this lighter build, it requires more frequent monitoring of tire pressure compared to a standard, thicker tube.

This tube is compatible with road tires ranging from 18mm to 25mm in width. Please check the sidewall of your current tires to ensure they fall within this range before purchasing.

The 42mm valve is standard for shallow-to-mid-depth rims. If you are using deep-section aero wheels, you will likely need a valve extender or a longer valve stem to reach the pump head.

Because the material is thinner to save weight, they are slightly more susceptible to pinch flats if the tire pressure is allowed to drop too low. Maintaining proper inflation is the best way to ensure reliability with this tube.

While designed for racing, many cyclists use them for daily training to enjoy the weight savings. Just be aware that the thinner construction requires more diligent maintenance and pressure checks than a heavier, more durable training tube.
