The early-rise tip is primarily designed to keep you afloat in deep snow, but it also helps with turn initiation. While it won't have the same locked-in feel as a traditional cambered ski on ice, the directional shape and full-contact edges provide enough grip to maintain control when conditions get firm.

The Anti-Ice Topsheet is designed to prevent snow and ice from sticking to the top of your skis. This is a significant advantage in the backcountry, as it keeps your setup lighter throughout the day by preventing heavy snow buildup.
