These rotors work well with most standard brake pad compounds, including organic and metallic. However, for the best performance and longevity, ensure your pads are properly bedded in when you first install the new rotors.

A 160mm rotor is a standard size that offers a great balance of weight and stopping power for many riders. If you frequently ride steep, long descents or carry significant gear, you might consider if your frame and fork allow for larger rotor sizes, but for general trail riding, 160mm is highly capable.
