Kastle Biafo

The Biafo is designed as an all-mountain touring ski. While it is built to be lightweight for efficient uphill travel, its construction—specifically the paulownia core and carbon reinforcement—provides enough stability and edge hold to handle resort skiing, though it is optimized for backcountry performance.

The Hollowtech tip removes unnecessary material from the shovel, which significantly reduces swing weight. This makes the ski feel more agile and easier to maneuver during kick turns on the ascent, while also dampening vibrations for a smoother ride on the descent.

With an 88mm waist and a progressive rise in the tip and tail, the Biafo is a versatile performer. It excels in mixed conditions, offering enough floatation for softer snow while maintaining the torsional rigidity needed to grip firm, icy, or technical terrain.

The 10.3m turn radius makes this ski exceptionally quick and responsive edge-to-edge. It is designed for skiers who prefer tight, technical turns and need a ski that initiates turns effortlessly, rather than one built for long, high-speed GS-style arcs.

The Biafo is better suited for intermediate to advanced skiers. Its lightweight construction and specific geometry require a certain level of technical proficiency to control effectively, especially in variable backcountry conditions.
