Specialized Trigger Pro

While the Trigger Pro is designed primarily for cyclocross and gravel, its center tread pattern is efficient enough for asphalt transitions. However, if you spend the majority of your time on pavement, you may prefer a dedicated road tire with less rolling resistance.

The Trigger Pro is 2Bliss Ready, meaning it is designed to be run tubeless for the best performance, but it is fully compatible with standard inner tubes if you prefer a traditional setup.

The Endurant casing is built specifically for durability and sidewall integrity. Combined with the BlackBelt puncture protection, it offers a robust defense against the sharp debris and impacts common on technical gravel courses.

The GRIPTON compound is engineered to balance grip with rolling efficiency. While it provides excellent traction, it is a performance-oriented rubber, so you can expect a reasonable lifespan, though it may wear faster than a heavier, harder-compound touring tire.

The primary advantage is the ability to run lower tire pressures without the risk of pinch flats. Lower pressure increases the tire's contact patch, which significantly improves traction and comfort on rough, uneven terrain.
