Smith Mirage MIPS Helmet

MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System. It is a low-friction layer inside the helmet that allows the shell to slide slightly during an angled impact, which helps reduce the rotational forces transferred to your brain.

The helmet features a Regulator climate control system with 14 vents. You can easily open or close these vents with a simple slider on top of the helmet, allowing you to dump heat on warm spring days or seal it in when the temperature drops.

Yes, the Mirage is designed with Smith's AirEvac integration. This system is specifically engineered to align with Smith goggles to pull warm, moist air away from the lens and out through the helmet vents, which significantly reduces fogging.

The ear pads are audio-compatible and designed to fit drop-in audio systems, specifically the Aleck audio system. If you prefer to use your own wired earbuds, they may fit, but the ear pads are optimized for dedicated helmet audio kits.

While the ear pads are removable, the plush fleece liner is integrated into the helmet's construction. We recommend spot-cleaning the liner with mild soap and water if it gets sweaty or dirty.

Zonal Koroyd is a honeycomb-like material integrated into impact zones. It is designed to absorb more energy upon impact compared to traditional foam, while also allowing for better airflow and a lighter overall helmet weight.
