The BOA Fit System on the Alien 1.0 is designed for precision and reliability. It is highly effective at providing a secure, uniform wrap around the foot, though like any mechanical system, it is best to keep it clear of heavy ice buildup to ensure smooth operation.

You get a 75-degree range of motion, which allows for a very natural, efficient stride. This is a significant advantage for high-intensity climbing where maximizing your movement efficiency is critical.

The 99mm last is considered a performance-oriented, narrow-to-medium fit. If you have wider feet, you may find the boot too restrictive, as it is designed for a precise, race-ready hold rather than all-day comfort.

The Speed Lock Lite system is engineered for rapid transitions. It allows you to switch between climbing and skiing modes in a single, fluid motion, which is essential for maintaining speed during race transitions.

The Alien 1.0 is designed specifically for tech (pin) bindings. It is not compatible with traditional alpine or frame bindings, so ensure your setup is compatible with a pure race-style boot.
