Black Crows Atris

The Atris is designed for intermediate to advanced skiers who want a versatile, all-mountain tool. Its 105mm waist and 20m turn radius require a certain level of technique to control effectively, so it may be too demanding for someone just starting out.

The 105mm waist is a true 'quiver-of-one' width that provides enough float for soft snow and powder days while remaining narrow enough to roll edge-to-edge on groomed runs. While it isn't a dedicated race ski, the medium camber underfoot ensures you still get reliable grip on firmer, variable snow.

With a 20m turn radius, the Atris is built for medium-to-long, powerful arcs. It feels most at home when you let it run a bit, offering stability at speed rather than quick, short-radius slalom turns.

It strikes a balance between the two. The poplar wood core provides a lively, energetic snap, while the fiberglass adds the torsional stiffness needed for stability. It feels surfy and intuitive in soft snow but maintains enough backbone to handle choppy, uneven terrain.

While the Atris is primarily an all-mountain resort ski, its weight and construction make it a capable option for sidecountry or shorter backcountry tours if paired with a hybrid binding. However, if your primary focus is long-distance uphill travel, you might find lighter, dedicated touring skis more efficient.
