While its soft construction is forgiving, the 4'10" length makes this board better suited for smaller riders or those who have already mastered the basics of standing up and paddling. If you are an adult beginner, you may find a longer board provides more stability for learning.

The twin-fin configuration removes the drag of a center fin, allowing for a looser, more responsive feel. It encourages you to generate speed quickly and makes it easier to initiate turns, which is ideal for smaller, less powerful waves.

This board excels in smaller, softer, or mushier surf conditions where you need a bit of extra help generating speed. Its volume and shape allow it to glide through sections that might bog down a traditional shortboard.

While the dual-composite core and slick deck are durable, you should still avoid leaving it in direct, intense sunlight for extended periods, as heat can cause the foam to delaminate or bubble. Rinse it with fresh water after use and store it in a cool, shaded area.

The Performer Mini uses a specific pop-thru fin system designed for this board. It is generally best to use the fins provided or replacements specifically compatible with this system to ensure a secure fit.
