The mat uses a patented dual-layer technology where the top layer allows sand and grit to fall through the weave, while the bottom layer prevents dirt from coming back up. Once the sand passes through, it stays underneath the mat, keeping the surface clean.

It works effectively on both. While it excels at filtering sand, it also provides a clean, dry barrier on grass or dirt, making it a great option for tent vestibules or outdoor kitchen areas.

The high-density polyethylene material is non-absorbent, meaning liquids will sit on the surface rather than soaking in. This makes it very easy to wipe down or hose off if you have a spill.

They are highly recommended if you are in a windy environment or using the mat as a tent footprint. The D-rings allow you to stake the mat securely to the ground, preventing it from shifting or blowing away.

The weight varies significantly depending on the size you choose, ranging from approximately 3.15 lbs for the smallest 6' x 6' version up to 11.73 lbs for the largest 12' x 12' model. Consider how much portability you need before selecting your size.
