The bag uses different amounts of down fill in specific zones to maximize efficiency. The lower section is packed with more insulation to keep your legs and feet warm, while the upper section uses less fill to save weight and provide versatility in milder conditions.

The Vireo is rated for 25ºF to 45ºF. Because it is a hoodless, zipperless system, your actual comfort level will depend heavily on the warmth of the down jacket you pair it with.
