Liberty Origin

The Origin is a big mountain ski designed for versatility. With a 106mm waist and tip and tail rocker, it excels in deep snow and soft conditions, but the camber underfoot and aluminum alloy strut provide enough edge hold to handle firm, groomed runs confidently.

The VMT 1.0 core uses an aluminum alloy strut combined with bamboo, poplar, and carbon fiber. This construction creates a unique balance of stability and energy; it feels damp and smooth through choppy snow, yet remains lively and responsive when you initiate a turn.

While the Origin is capable and intuitive, it is built for skiers who are comfortable navigating varied terrain. If you are an intermediate skier looking to progress into off-piste or big mountain riding, the Origin is a stable, forgiving platform that will grow with your skill level.

Poured polyurethane sidewalls are designed to dampen vibrations more effectively than traditional ABS plastic. This results in a smoother, quieter ride, especially when you are skiing at higher speeds or through variable, crusty snow.

While 106mm is wider than a dedicated carving ski, the Origin is surprisingly agile on hardpack. The positive camber underfoot and the torsional rigidity provided by the carbon fiber and aluminum strut allow you to engage the edge effectively, though it will require more effort to roll from edge to edge compared to a narrower ski.
