Sonus faber Lumina Center

The front-firing port allows you to place the speaker closer to walls or inside cabinets without causing the boomy, muddy bass that often happens with rear-ported designs. This makes it much easier to integrate into tight media consoles or bookshelves.

The Lumina Center I is designed to be tonally consistent with other speakers in the Sonus faber Lumina line, ensuring a seamless soundstage. If you are mixing brands, its neutral, detailed character generally pairs well with most high-quality speakers, though matching series is always ideal for the most cohesive surround sound.

The speaker is rated for amplifiers between 30W and 100W. Most modern AV receivers will handle this comfortably, but ensure your receiver is stable at 4 ohms to get the best performance out of the drivers.

While the Lumina Center I provides excellent clarity and dialogue precision, its dual 120mm drivers are best suited for small to medium-sized rooms. In very large spaces, you may find it lacks the sheer scale needed to keep up with larger floor-standing front speakers.

The DAD tweeter design helps dampen the vibrations of the dome, which reduces distortion at high frequencies. This results in a cleaner, more natural high-end that avoids the harshness sometimes found in metal dome tweeters.
