The steamer is made of durable stainless steel and is easy to hand wash with warm, soapy water. Because it collapses down to a compact 5.25-inch footprint, it stores easily in a drawer or cabinet without taking up significant space.

You only need enough water to create steam, typically about an inch or less. The most important thing is to ensure the water level stays below the base of the steamer so your food steams rather than boils.

While the steamer is made of stainless steel, it is generally safe for non-stick pans as long as you are careful when placing it inside and removing it. To avoid scratching your cookware, place the steamer gently into the pan rather than dropping it.
