In a surround sound setup, the center channel handles the vast majority of dialogue and on-screen action. Using a dedicated speaker ensures voices remain anchored to the screen rather than drifting to the left or right, providing a much clearer and more immersive experience.

While you can technically mix brands, it is generally recommended to stick to the same series or at least the same manufacturer for your front soundstage. This ensures 'timbre matching,' meaning the sound profile remains consistent as audio pans across your speakers.

The C10 is designed with a relatively small footprint specifically to fit into standard media cabinets or sit on shelves beneath a TV. We recommend measuring your available space, but its compact dimensions make it one of the more flexible center channel options for tighter setups.

The Alpha C10 is a passive speaker, meaning it requires an external AV receiver or amplifier to power it. It is designed to be compatible with most standard home theater receivers, but ensure your amplifier can handle the speaker's impedance requirements for optimal performance.

While primarily engineered for the dialogue-heavy demands of home theater, the C10 performs well with multi-channel music formats like SACD or concert Blu-rays. However, it is not intended to be used as a standalone stereo speaker for music listening.
