Fruit Matryoshka

Each piece is crafted from linden wood, which is traditionally used for Russian nesting dolls due to its fine grain and durability. The exterior is finished with a protective lacquer to preserve the hand-painted details.

The set consists of six nesting pieces, each representing a different fruit that fits inside the next, starting with a large outer fruit and ending with a small pineapple.

While the Fruit Matryoshka is inspired by traditional toys, it is designed as a contemporary heirloom or decorative object. Due to the small size of the innermost pieces, it is best suited for display rather than as a toy for young children.

To maintain the luster of the lacquer, simply dust the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using water, chemical cleaners, or placing the item in direct sunlight, which can cause the wood to expand or the paint to fade over time.

Because each Matryoshka is individually hand-painted by artisans in Semyonov, Russia, there will be subtle variations in brushwork and color. These slight differences are a hallmark of the craft and ensure that every piece is unique.
