While the chair is designed for indoor and outdoor use, the vegetable-tanned leather is a natural material that will develop a patina over time when exposed to the elements. If placing it outdoors, we recommend keeping it in a covered area to protect the leather from direct rain and harsh, prolonged sunlight.

Vegetable-tanned leather is durable and ages beautifully, but it does require occasional conditioning to keep it supple. You should wipe it down with a dry cloth for regular cleaning and apply a high-quality leather conditioner once or twice a year to prevent drying or cracking.

The base is made from natural steel, which is durable but can develop a surface patina if exposed to moisture. If you plan to use the chair in a humid or outdoor environment, you may want to periodically check the base and apply a light coat of wax or protective sealant if you prefer to maintain the original finish.
