Yes. The Reserve 31 DH wheelset is specifically engineered with a robust construction to handle the extra weight and torque associated with heavy-duty e-bike use.

The asymmetric design helps balance spoke tension between the drive and non-drive sides. This results in a stiffer, stronger wheel that tracks more accurately through technical terrain and heavy landings.

While the rims are tubeless-ready and optimized for that setup, you can certainly run them with inner tubes if you prefer. However, we recommend going tubeless to take full advantage of the improved traction and puncture resistance.

These wheels use a 20mm x 110mm front axle and a 12mm x 157mm rear axle, which are standard for downhill-specific frames. Please verify your frame and fork spacing before purchasing, as they will not fit standard boost or non-boost trail bikes.

The rear hub is compatible with SRAM XD 11-speed and 12-speed cassettes. Ensure your drivetrain matches this standard before installation.

The 31mm internal width is designed to provide a stable, supportive platform for downhill tires, typically ranging from 2.3 to 2.6 inches. This width helps prevent tire squirm when cornering hard.
