The Telegraph is specifically engineered for road performance. While its 40mm width offers some versatility, the slick center tread is designed for pavement, so it will lack the necessary traction for loose gravel or technical dirt trails.

While these are tubeless-ready, you can absolutely use them with standard inner tubes. However, setting them up tubeless is recommended to take full advantage of the puncture protection and the ability to run lower pressures for a smoother ride.

The 120 TPI (threads per inch) casing is more supple than lower-count options, meaning the tire conforms better to the road surface. This results in a noticeably smoother, more responsive ride quality that helps absorb road chatter.

That depends on your frame's clearance. While 40mm is common for modern all-road and gravel bikes, many traditional road bikes are limited to 28mm or 32mm tires. Always check your frame and fork manufacturer's maximum tire clearance specifications before purchasing.

The maximum tire pressure for the Teravail Telegraph is 50 PSI. If you are setting these up tubeless, you will likely find that running them at a lower pressure provides significantly better comfort and grip on pavement.
