Zipp 454 NSW Wheel

The Sawtooth rim profile uses an undulating depth design to help manage airflow around the wheel. This shape significantly improves crosswind stability, making the wheel feel more predictable and easier to handle in gusty conditions compared to traditional deep-section rims.

The Zipp 454 NSW is designed specifically as a tubeless-ready system. While you can technically run it with an inner tube, it is optimized for tubeless setups to take full advantage of the 23mm internal rim width and lower tire pressures.

This wheel uses a 12mm x 100mm thru-axle standard and is compatible with Center-Lock disc rotors. As long as your frame and fork are designed for these modern disc brake standards, it should be a direct fit.

The Cognition V2 hubset is engineered to reduce internal friction, particularly when coasting. It features a refined engagement mechanism that ensures smooth, consistent rolling and improved durability over long-term use.

The 23mm internal width is optimized for wider road tires, typically ranging from 25mm to 32mm. Using a wider tire in this setup creates a smoother tire-to-rim transition, which improves both aerodynamics and cornering grip.

While the 58mm rim depth is aerodynamic enough for flat-out speed, the wheel's stability and weight make it versatile enough for rolling terrain. It is designed to be a high-performance all-rounder rather than a wheel strictly for flat courses.
