Chris King Headset Spacer Kit

These spacers are designed specifically for 1-1/8 inch threadless steerer tubes, which is the standard size for most modern mountain and road bikes. If your bike uses a tapered or straight 1-1/8 inch steerer, these will fit perfectly.

Each kit includes five spacers in total. This selection allows you to stack them in various combinations to fine-tune your handlebar height and achieve the exact fit you need for your riding position.

While they certainly look clean, their primary function is mechanical. They are essential for ensuring your stem clamps correctly onto the steerer tube and for achieving the proper preload on your headset bearings to prevent play.

These are precision-machined from solid bar-stock aluminum, which provides significantly better structural integrity than stamped or plastic alternatives. This ensures they won't crush or deform under the clamping force of your stem, maintaining a secure fit over time.

No special tools are required. You will simply need the appropriate hex key to loosen your stem bolts, allowing you to slide the spacers onto the steerer tube before re-tightening the stem.
