While the 71mm rim depth is optimized for time trials, triathlons, and flat-road racing, it can certainly be used for everyday riding. However, keep in mind that the deep profile can be sensitive to strong crosswinds, so it may require more attentive handling than a shallower rim in gusty conditions.

The rim is optimized for tubeless setups, which allows you to run lower tire pressures for better rolling resistance and puncture protection. While you can technically use an inner tube with a tubeless-ready tire, the wheel performs best when set up tubeless.

This wheel uses a standard 12mm thru-axle with 100mm hub spacing and a Center Lock disc brake interface. As long as your fork is compatible with these common modern standards, it should be a direct fit.

The 71mm depth is designed to maximize aerodynamic efficiency and maintain momentum at high speeds. Because of the larger surface area, you may notice more feedback from crosswinds compared to a shallower wheel, though ENVE's rim shaping is specifically engineered to keep that handling predictable.

The high-engagement hub reduces the amount of 'dead space' when you start pedaling, meaning power transfer to the road is nearly instantaneous. This is particularly beneficial when accelerating out of corners or making quick adjustments during a race.
