The RockShox front fender is designed to be compatible with most modern suspension forks, but it is specifically optimized for RockShox models. Because it mounts using zip ties or velcro, it offers a universal fit that works across a wide range of fork brands and wheel sizes from 26 to 29 inches.

Yes, it is designed specifically to block debris and mud spray from reaching your face and eyes. While it is a compact, low-profile fender rather than a full-coverage mudguard, it effectively catches the majority of the spray kicked up by the front tire.

The installation is semi-permanent. Since it uses zip ties or velcro straps, you can easily cut the ties or undo the straps to remove the fender when the weather is dry. If you use zip ties, you will simply need a fresh set to reinstall it.

When installed correctly and pulled tight, the fender is very secure. Because it is lightweight and sits close to the fork arch, it does not have enough mass to create significant movement or rattling, even on technical, rocky terrain.
